"A modest hill by height, made up for by some adventurous rock-hopping on the upper reaches.
From south, skirted to the right around buildings and followed faint path half way up this, before heading more directly to highest point. Ground became very rocky with degraded limestone and lots of hollows and gullies and unstable rocks. Rather than dip one's feet into whatever was scurrying about below, it made sense to move from one exposed rock to the other to finally reach craggy top. On the descent I disturbed a brown snake, it slithered off as I shrieked "snake". I think this was a Dahl's whip snake (Platyceps najadum) but I can't be sure. Good views of Corfu and the surrounding hills." — vygodski • May 24, 2025
