A hot day and the flies were killer, so was the hike. The trail to Scotts Pond and Wallface pond is worse then the bushwack up MacNaughton. All in all a great hike, conditions aside. Clear skies and some views from the summit plus we didn't see a sole until the trip back when we got to the Scotts Clearing Lean-2. As far as the bushwack the first 1/2 mile was blowdown and young growth making it a little tough as we got to about 3700 feet we stumbled upon the herd path and that wasn't bad to follow and it avoided the thick brush. We were able to follow the herd path almost all the way back to Wallface pond until we couldn't see it anymore but by then we were only a tenth of a mile from the pond.
