The hike begins at a PCT parking lot off Highway 74. To get to the peak, I crossed Highway 74 and continued south on the PCT. After 1.5 miles, I found the peak access trail that leaves the PCT to the left and climbs up a gully. The access trail is the steepest part of the hike, but it doesn’t take long to rise to the summit. With minimal to no shade, I benefitted by visiting on a cool day. The summit register and benchmark sit adjacent to a private property fence line, but the trail manages to stay off private property.
