On July 21st, Babette and I biked into the Goat's Eye chairlift at the Sunshine ski hill and scrambled up the loose scree and talus to Mount Howard Douglas. From there, there wasn't a direct route to nearby Lookout Mountain, so we dropped down the screen gulley to the south and traversed around to the next valley. From there we slogged up the ridge up to Brewster Rock, the entrance to the Delirium Dive ski area, and followed the ridge up to the top of Lookout Mountain. On the way back, we returned to Brewster Rock and descended down to the Teepee Town chair and back to the bikes. The scrambling was never more than moderate, but this route involved quite a lot of scree, boulder hopping and elevation gain.
