The crux of this trip was last 5km of driving on the unplowed access road. My Rav4 made it without problem but it fishtailed a lot in the snow. We stopped 2km before the TH at a gate. Apparently, the road beyond the gate is seasonally closed in the winter and early spring. For the above-mentioned reasons, I don't recommend attempting this peak early in the season.
We walked the road 2km after the gate to the cutline and then followed it to the summit ridge. The snow was mostly ankle deep but in some places knee deep. We didn't bring snowshoes and I found the trailbreaking quite tiresome. Was very tired next day.
