Second summit of the day, away from the crowds and off-trail in Kolob Canyons. We bushwhacked to the summit of 6,965 foot Lee Peak, following mountain goat trails and paths of least resistance through the desert shrubs. The summit, being at the edge of Zion National Park, offers expansive views of southern Utah in all directions. Rock ledges allowed us marvel at the mighty Kolob Canyon walls to the East, the Hurricane Cliffs and endless mesas to the South, the High Plateaus of the North, and the snow-capped Pine Valley Mountains to the West.
