Parked off the A685 at Brow Foot (NY 68524 04998). Took the lane to Bowderdale, then track up West Fell, diverting at the 400m contour SW and up to the summit of Langdale Knott. Then to its col, and a steep descent down a scree gully into Langdale. Then took the NNW ridge, very steep initially, up to the summit of Simon's Seat. Returned mainly by outwards route, though I found a path out of Langdale which was much better going than the scree gully. Solo. Sunny and hot, with a fresh southerly wind over the tops.
