On a via ferrata party based in Cortina and organised by Katherine & Dave Via Ferrata - that is Dave Cooper and Katherine Hurst. After climbing Via Ferrata Averau we went to Rifugio Nuvolau, which is on the summit of Nuvolau. From here we ascended to the summit of Ra Gusela and back. We followed Via Ferrata Nuvolau/Ra Gusela. The VF section is only about 25m and very easy. It is on the path (438) to Passo Giau. There was a long wait for the bus so I and another member of the party ascended to the summit of Punta di Zonia on the other side of the pass.
