Went to San Clemente to knock out a couple more peaks and get a hike in while the weather was still nice. I parked next to the Skate Park at Richard Steed Memorial Park (247 Av. La Pata, San Clemente), and picked up the trailhead for Rancho San Clemente Ridgeline Trail immediately behind the skate park itself. The trail itself is paved, and the first few hundred yards were STEEEEEEP, and a few mountain bikers were reduced to walking their bikes up. At the intersection I turned left and followed the trail a short distance to Peak 906. After that, I retraced my steps back to the intersection, and then proceeded in the other direction from that intersection following the trail for well over a mile to Knob Hill. After that, I simply retraced my steps back to my car. Views were fairly decent despite a somewhat cloudy day; a snow capped Mt Baldy clearly visible to the north, and Catalina Island to the west.
