My brother and I drove out the day before intending to climb Welch peak. We couldn't find the trail head, we didn't look too hard, and there was a slight washout in the road by Foley lake so we didn't explore the road up Welch. So we decided to follow the Baby Munday Trail. This is a rather steep trail, but in good condition. It took us 3hrs to get to the tree line from where we parked. We camped on a flat area to the southwest of Baby Munday. The next day, we decided to climb Knight peak instead since it looked a little easier. So we did. It took an hour from our campsite to the summit. After some time at the peak enjoying the tremendous view, we decided to try Baby Munday since it was only 9AM. So we headed down, went around the south of the peak, back onto the trail which leads up to a little lake on the East side of Baby Munday. From there we climbed one of the spires south of the peak. Again, what a view! I love this area.
