It was a long day to traverse the windward ridge called the Kalahaku Teeth. Took us 6.5h to climb this very overgrown ridgeline. When we reached the top of the Koolau Mountains, crossing Waimalu meadows, we opted to hike down another not very often used trail Waimalu Middle.
Altogether was a new experience with some extreme climbing, bushwhacking and a very long day.
