Drive-up. Drive-up requires a HC-4WD vehicle due to rough road conditions. Forest road 289A (signed) goes to the top of the mountain, distance is about 3/4 mile one way. Remnants of the old lookout tower and support facilities can be found at/near the summit. This mountain has twin peaks, both of which are nearly the same height. The spot elevation is for the southern peak which is supposedly the higher of the two.
