First off - I did not name this peak. It joins the former Squaw's Tit and Chinaman's Peak with the worst and most offensive names. Thankfully, those have been renamed and it looks like this/these are being updated too. I prefer to go by Okazaki and Shikazi, which are definitely more appropriate. Joined Devan and Aaron for this gorgeous ridgewalk! The wind was reasonable, the views incredible, the river crossing shallow, the company great... but there was some nasty deep snow on the descent! Lots of physical effort with the ups and downs and snow and I had forgotten half my food. This has the best views in Ya Ha Tinda yet! We got lucky that the wind was tame because it's quite a ways in the open. We claimed both peaks (Okazaki and Shikazi). Ran into some snice on an angled slope where we should have put the traction on, but otherwise safe and easy work, just putting in the time and elevation to earn the views.
