This was my second time. Went out early to beat the heat. First time was many years ago & it was my first Lake Mead peak. I had no idea what I was doing & I took a really crappy route on the east side. This time, I strolled up the west side & it was very pleasant. Definitely the easiest volcanic peak I've hiked recently!

I went up about a month after i had covid, and was very surprised to find a register with so many entries

First time I climbed it, I only found a piece of tattered paper with Ursula’s & Howard’s sigs. This time there was a jar just sitting out in the open. I moved in under some rocks in the cairn.
