This was my second time hiking this pretty little mountain. Beautiful day to hike. When we came to the arrow on the tree, I couldn't remember if we were supposed to go the way it said, or the opposite. Of course, I chose the wrong one, so we went downhill for about a quarter mile until I figured out that there was no way we should have been going down for that long. The top, just before the ledges, was steeper than I remembered, but easily manageable for both of us. Views were great, with no haze or clouds. If we hadn't gone so late that rain was starting to move in, we could have stayed for ages, walking around on the ledges, looking for ripe blueberries and absorbing the views. Easy, quick trip back down and it never rained after all. Awesome variety of mushrooms/toadstools too.
