After giving up on trying to find Red Root Mountain I drove on and continued East on Nancy Town Lake Rd, at Mountain Grove cemetery I took left turn onto Red Root Rd., then took right turn onto Sellers Rd., then left onto Middle Broad River Rd., about 2,000 ft later I took a left onto a dirt road and approximately 4,000 ft later I found a small sign with Simmons-Farmer Cemetery on it. There is a clear path going up the hill and there is an oppenning at the Summit where the Cemetery is located. I could not located a geological marker so I've woked around the cemetery for a while to make sure I've hit the summit and even continued on the path past the cemetery. After a long unusccessful Red Root Mountain ascend I was Thrilled to Find this Peak. I'm 2 for 3 (for now)and now ready to look for my last peak of tooday Brady Hill.
