Began on Forest Rd 2613 @ the Eureka Peak TH. Ironically the trail does not lead to the summit. There is no trail, but we hiked cross-country 0.9 miles, gaining just over 800', traveling in a NE'ly direction along a slight ridge to the summit. Limited views of Mt Hood and Trillium Lake. Small rock cairn is @ actual summit. Saw a dead screech owl and many false Morrell mushrooms.
