Climbing Talayón on a cool January day on a nine-mile route and
1600 feet of elevation gain.
We leave the vehicle near the Tebar castle and travel through lemon and almond trees along a track along the southeastern part of the mountain until we reach the Hermitage of Chuecos. From here another track on the north side of Talayón ascends among pine trees to the top. We enjoy good views of the Mediterranean and the surrounding mountains while the sun is seen through the clouds.
The small lunch next to the hermitage gave us
strength to climb the track at a good pace and the day ended without problems. Then we returned to the city to eat at a restaurant by the sea and replenish our energy.
