Talked with Mike, the fire lookout tender, who was up there on the first day of fire season with his two dogs. He showed me around the lookout inside and out and was very happy to have a visitor. Very nice guy!! Unfortunately, I forgot to get a picture of the lookout on the summit. Looks like I will have to hike the 1.4 mile road again another day to snap a proper picture.
