A long trip out to hit this peak again. I really enjoy these Desert Peaks. The history of the mines around the Newfoundlands is intresting to see. The climb was much easier this time because I had an idea of what to avoid. I had to pack below the normal starting point because it was just to rough a road to make it up the last part of the hill. Side by side or 4x4 is the only thing that I would bring up here. A rocky scramble in a couple of parts toward the saddle, but pretty straight forward. Once across the saddle just pick the best path you can. I stayed to the west a little more this time and worked my way to the center.
