Parked in Croglin and took the bridleway up the south flank of the fell, continuing on the track on access land (closed for some dates in April and May, and 'no dogs'). A short diversion from the track leads to the trig and nearby HP. Then took a track SW, diverting north over Newbiggin Fell to the key col for Cumrew Fell. Then took the track north past the shooting hut, with a short diversion off it to the summit. Returned to the col, taking the bridleway down to Newbiggin. Linear walk between 2 cars with AT and JT.

Cloudy, with some sunny breaks. Strone westery, veering north-westerly. Light rain shower on Cumrew Fell.
