Nice day in Sierra Espuña, almost all the people are on the beaches so few people
today on this mountain. I headed for the Cumbre del Sombrero, going around Peña Apartada along the Umbria path (PR-59). The trail crosses pine and holm oak forests and brings me closer to the firebreak through which I climb to the top. I eat a little up there while I only listen to the whistling of the wind when it caresses the leaves of the pine trees. The ants are quite active searching for food to bring back to their nests.
I find thyme plants endemic to the southeast of Spain and some oak, also traces of foxes and mountain goats.
