Went from Garrigill in order to take in some of the lead mining history in the area. Took the Pennine Way all the way to the summit in 30mph relentless wind. Gregory's hut provided a nice break from the wind before bagging the summit. Returned back to Garrigill on the same route with a backpack full of rock samples I had plundered from the old spoil heaps making for a heavy trudge back to the car... about 16 miles in total there and back including time spent exploring the mines.
