Parked in the White Heaps car park (IO 26132 25663) and took the blue way-marked trail all the way to the craggy summit - first on the windfarm grit road through fir forest, then a narrower track through spruce, then 500m hiking up over open moor. Returned the same way.
Hill-fog to the summit, but then it cleared to sunshine. WSW wind.
