Rod VK2TWR and I left Nimmitabel early and drove towards Cooma, with a detour to climb The Peak VK2/SM-068. We drove to the car parking area and walked up to the trig to set up the radio gear. I made 4 contacts before we packed up and resumed the trip to Cooma, then out through Numerella to Badja and on to Bald Mountain VK2/SM-052. We aprked just off the road and walked to the trig. I made 4 contacts to qualify the summit. We next drove around to Dampier VK2/ST-007 to again set up at the trig, making 6 contacts before packing up and heading back to the main road. We then travelled north and then west to reach Cowangerong to again set up and to make a quick 5 contacts. We then returned to the main road an headed west to Captains Flat and then headed back to Nimmitabel for the night.
