From Stapleton hill, walking east past the two farms, one of which had annoyingly begun to burn plastic or rubber or something. Kept to the path reaching the derelict(ish) house called Noisy Hall. From here I crossed the field and doubled back to take the steep track up the hill. Near the top there seem to be pens, for pheasants I think, but not sure. In the woods there were some depressions formed into hides with sandbags, probably for shooting the poor things. A little further along there is the highpoint just off the track. Returned same way, but directly past the cottage this time, then back along the Herefordshire Trail to Lingen.
