Solo. After going up Cairnpapple Hill and Witch Craig. Drove to Cockleroy car park. Followed broad path through forest and then up open hillside to Summit of Cockleroy. Many others doing the same. Beautiful sunny day although very cold. Excellent views of snow-covered Ben Lomond, Stuc a' Chroin and the Ochils. From Cockleroy followed approach to Bowden Hill used by Jubilado – excellent route. Went up ENE slope to summit of Bowden Hill – no problems here today as all ground frozen hard and vegetation died down. Descended east ridge where there is a path following edge of forest. At end of forest went through gate and S through bits of forest to another gate that gives access to a field and a way round the east side of a wood to join the track that goes towards Cow Hill. All gates can be opened, which is nice.
