Caingorm Club meet based in Corvara. With four other club members. Bus to Grödner Joch. We did via ferrata Corv 2: Piz da Cir V. This is graded 2A in Smith and Fletcher's guide. We followed the vehicle track adjoining the Hotel Cir. This is the access road to Dantercepies, the top station of the gondola lift from Wolkenstein. The route to the start of the via ferrata is marked and is a short way on grass and bits of rock. The via ferrata itself is not long, only about 100m. The finish is up a tower with one slightly awkward move. The guide book says there is room for about 10 people on the summit at most but this would be something of a squash. This tower has to be down-climbed. The descent route goes off to the left and is initially protected with cables. The route then descends a gully which is a bit loose in places. At the bottom we took a path or paths to Jimmys, a café at the top of a gondola lift. Others had gone up via ferrata Corv1: Gran Cir - this is a grade 1A via ferrata. We walked down to Kolfuschg.
