Finally climbed this rarely climbed peak. Most of the signatures seem to be from people located at the fire station. In recent years the number of climbers is as such 2010 - 5, 2011 - 1, 2012 - 3, 2013 - now 2. I am a bit surprised since it is so accessible, the climb relatively easy, and the view so good. Only Spanish Needles left and I have finished the local crest around Ridgecrest.

Speaking of the climb I will say that the there had to be a better way of doing it. I did it from the east near a now wilderness area off bounds dirt road. It was nothing but scree, duff, and sidehilling. I don't recommend the east approach. It seems the PCT from the west would be easier. As far as the summit block goes don't be deceived there is a really easy class 2 way to the top. If you are up for the challenge go ahead and climb the block otherwise be patient and walk around the large granite face at the top.
