Took the tick-infested, slightly overgrown Glenwood Horse Trail deep into Jefferson National Forest. The forest is pristine with only natural sounds. Every once in a while, you can hear a vehicle from the nearby Blue Ridge Parkway. Remote solitude as far as this area goes. A few peaks through the forest to the near 4,000-foot surrounding peaks. A non-technical trail that was nice to run down. Had to go off trail for a few hundred feet to bag the peak.
