Went up Cherry Creek Canyon with my friend Andy Worrall, but when the trail started going off toward the long switchback up the ridge we instead cut up through the cliff bands just below the peak. There was about a foot of snow down lower, but as we got higher up the snow seemed to build up in drifts and in places was well above my waist. It wasn't consolidated enough to really glissade well on the way down but it was still a fun descent through the deep snow and back to the car.
