"Summited via Janda Baik Trail.
No leeches but certain parts of the trail are muddy and slippery (it rained the night before in Subang).
Crossed a river and a waterfall without removing shoes.
Hiked and summited with the friendly members of HHG.
P/S: The Pangsun Hulu Langat trail is closed until further notice. " — Tailor • Mar 10, 2019
"First solo hike. Trail is straightforward. A moderately easy hike.
Pretty safe for a solo hike during weekend as there’re a lot of hikers on the trail.
Need to purchase permit before entering the trail (RM5).
There’s a hut at the peak but it’s too hot without any trees for shade.
Along the trail, you’ll find a Chinese Uncle offering sweet soup for free! Dessert is different every week. The one I had was pumpkin and sago with santan. It’s delicious. Thank you Uncle! 😁" — Tailor • Mar 3, 2019
"Second time summiting Gunung Datuk.
Permit can be bought at the entrance for RM5/person.
The trail to Gunung Gagak and Gunung Rembau are quiet, as most just stop at Gunung Datuk. Birds are aplenty along the trail to Gagak and Rembau.
There’s no view at Gagak and Rembau peak, only a sense of accomplishment for having bagged two not-so-commonly known peaks. Great workout nonetheless!
An awesome hike, made even greater with the members of MEG." — Tailor • Feb 17, 2019
"First time summitting Datuk. Was very, very impressed with the view. Also my first hike without a guide. Summited with a group of very awesome people, which makes this the most memorable and enjoyable hike so far!" — Tailor • Jan 5, 2019
"Three peaks at one go! Broga - Tok Wan - Puncak 18! The trail from Tok Wan to Puncak 18, especially near the Puncak 18 peak, was extremely muddy and very slippery. It’s akin to skiing on mud during descend.
Also a lot of thorny plants, fallen bamboos and leeches on that trail. Tripped over a protruding root while making my way out of Tok Wan and got a swollen knee. But I made it out alive. 😂 Despite that, thoroughly enjoyed the hike.
There’s no view at Tok Wan and Puncak 18 peaks, but it’s satisfying to have made it!
Hiked with KLHG. A very well organized, awesome group!" — Tailor • Dec 16, 2018
