"The only peak I climbed today that had any kind of view... and that not at the summit. There's an east facing view off the main trail about 30 feet below, with a nice resting bench. Trails are well marked except that you have to walk up a ways from the junction to find the trail name sign." — SteveM_StickMan • Aug 27, 2023
"Have been wanting to get to this area and finish the Hanover area challenges. Had a bit of trouble since this was the first time I was using the Peakery tracker. Incidentally, the trail signs going over this peak say "Paige Hill". There must be some historical significance although I have not been able to find any. The rain held off until I was almost back to the pkg. lot. Glad I took the Porcupine Tr. back since it was in the sheltering woods for the most part! One down. Heading to Burnt Mt. next." — SteveM_StickMan • Aug 27, 2023
"I came out to finish the part of the Velvet Rocks A.T. trail from Trescott Rd. that I hadn't previously done. This went over Velvet Rocks Hill down to the north end of the Velvet Rocks Shelter Loop trail, which in places is really poorly marked. Also went up the Loop trail to see if there were any views still from the Velvet Rocks knob near the shelter. Nope. I returned by way of the Short Cut trail to E. Wheelock Rd." — SteveM_StickMan • Apr 17, 2020

"Started out from the Grasse Rd. / Trescott Rd. trailhead, on this rain-soaked afternoon. Not much to see except fog and clouds at the summit, but it was still a nice little jaunt around the loop. The recently upgraded trail markings are nicely done. Returned by way of Hunter East and Chapman Trails." — SteveM_StickMan • Sep 2, 2019
