"My first VT Fire Tower just over the NH border. It gets you above the trees and the views are awesome! The top cab portion is not enclosed however, so you need to be prepared for windy conditions. Attempted to take the longer bike path down but lost the trail about halfway down due to leaf drop and lack of trail markings." — SteveM_StickMan • Nov 5, 2023
"Have been wanting to get to this area and finish the Hanover area challenges. Had a bit of trouble since this was the first time I was using the Peakery tracker. Incidentally, the trail signs going over this peak say "Paige Hill". There must be some historical significance although I have not been able to find any. The rain held off until I was almost back to the pkg. lot. Glad I took the Porcupine Tr. back since it was in the sheltering woods for the most part! One down. Heading to Burnt Mt. next." — SteveM_StickMan • Aug 27, 2023
"The only peak I climbed today that had any kind of view... and that not at the summit. There's an east facing view off the main trail about 30 feet below, with a nice resting bench. Trails are well marked except that you have to walk up a ways from the junction to find the trail name sign." — SteveM_StickMan • Aug 27, 2023
"Continued up Lambert Ridge Trail after a stop at the ridge outlooks on the way. Nice trail. Met some thru hikers along the way and at the tentsite, which was a pretty cool spot. The tower cab was open to get out of the breeze. Followed the Ranger Tr. down for something different. Not much mud left :)" — SteveM_StickMan • Jul 9, 2022
"Started out warm heading up Lambert Ridge. Lots a birds on the trail. Oven, Cat, Black Burnian Warbler, Golden Crowned Kinglet, Hermit Thrush and Winter Wren to name the most interesting ones. A little windy climbing the fire tower steps. But it was open at the top so that was interesting. Had lunch at the tent site, heard lots of thunder to the north and west. Sounded close so we headed down Ranger. Ran into light rain the last mile. " — Alohabuffy • May 16, 2021
