This peak is on private property. The CDT happens to transit the east side of the mountain so makes for a convenient route to get started. At the junction of CR-42 and Cerro Americano Road (signed) turn onto Cerro Americano Road. At a junction go right onto a rough road that requires a high-clearance vehicle. You will soon encounter a post marked with the CDT symbol where the trail crosses the road. Park and head south on the trail. After you encounter another CDT post start heading cross-country towards the NE side of the mountain. Steep uphill climb. Large cairn marks the HP, no summit log.
