Today I am going to the Sierra de Baza Natural Park, from the town of Caniles there is a lonely and narrow road, the GR 8101, which goes into the mountains. The route is colored by the yellow of thousands of brooms. The rock formations on these hills remind me of Calar Alto Peak that I can see from here for miles. On the way to Cerro de Alonso, I leave Cerro de La Misa on my left, the ground shines under my feet full of metamorphic slate rocks,
I also see red and white quartz.
At the top of Cerro del Toril I barely have room to take a photo because of the rectangular blocks of rock that point to the sky.
The Pico del Chaparral is not very prominent but there are also interesting rock formations and magnificent views.
