Cairngorm Club meet. With Geraldine Guest, Robin Howie. We left Spittal of Glenmuick and walked via the track to the south of Loch Muick to Broad Cairn. We went on to Creag an Dubh-loch and continued to Cairn of Gowal, Cairn Bannoch, Craig of Gowal. At the latter there are 3 cairns with much the same height - middle one highest point. We descended down the slope to Loch Esk, and then across to the south of Bachnagairn. We went down the glen to the quarry near Braedownie. There is no bridge where the track crosses the river near Moulzie. We got wet. Mist was continuous from the start to coming off Craig of Gowal when it gradually lifted. There was soft snow on the ground, but not deep, from the start to Bachnagairn. There was falling snow while on the tops.
