Today I am going to the protected area of Cabezo Gordo, as soon as I arrive I bump into the Flintstones that come from the mountain, the route begins lively as I head towards the Sima de las Palomas on the south side. I climb that slope barely guided by stone milestones until
reach a small altar with the Virgin of Loreto. I continue to the left along the ridge to a hill where a strong and exposed climb will take me closer to the top.
I have lunch at the top and take photos of the fields and orchards below and the islands of the Mar Menor. There is also a sea of clouds on the horizon. Before leaving I see some vultures that are gaining height and are outside their usual areas.
