Spent our last full day in Southern Utah climbing 11,307 ft Brian Head Peak in Dixie National Forest. We forged our own path from SR 143, through the deep snowpack and up towards the cliffside of the southwest face of the peak. Switched from snowshoes to crampons at 11,000 feet. Found a nice keyhole in the cliffside below the summit, allowing for a nontechnical route to the top from this approach. We had beautiful “spring” weather and 360 degree views on our final Utah adventure.
