Started our "easy Sunday hike" (TM Kevin) by bagging Peak 2595' and Bobcat Rock. We drove down Boathouse Cove Road for a little over a mile(?) and parked on the side of the road, between the two peaks. We tackled Peak 2595' first, approaching from the sort-of-North-West face. Very steep and very loose rock. There were two impressive, large cairns at the peak itself. We came down the south face of Peak 2595', which was not as treacherous to downclimb. From there we walked back across the desert and road to get to Bobcat Rock. That we approached up a gully from the east-southeast side. The rock was very sharp (limestone) as opposed to Peak 2595', which was volcanic rock. Tons of little arches and holes all over Bobcat rock. After descending, we headed back to the cars and drove further down the road to do the Cleopatra Wash hike - very scenic! A good day!
