The second time I climbed Bluff Mountain on this day was during my return trip from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Much easier this way than that of the James River origin, it still posed a challenge after many miles and several thousand feet of climbing. This mountain has epic views and is strenuous either way. Of course, the views are unparalleled if you arrive after having climbed the Rocky Row peaks.
