Climbed this on a short detour from the route to Beacon Hill. Like the latter, it lies in the Crown Estate, which to the uninitiated means it both does and doesn't belong to the Queen - the same sort of goes for all land in the UK. She owns it all in lots of different ways. Confused? Me too. Off with their heads, I say. Putting that aside, this is a pretty unremarkable hill, except that nearing the top one is greeted with an array of wind turbines planted to the east. Some find these ugly. In contrast, they fill me with joy and give me a sense of hope for humankind. They produce electricity too, but not on this day as it was probably too windy. The hills can be confusing at times.
