The view from this summit is first rate. Arguably one of the best in the park that's not Katahdin. You can see the Travelers, Pogy Notch, Katahdin and Knife Edge, the Brothers, Doubletop, everything! We approached from the back, rounding both South Branch Ponds, then climbing Black Cat. It's not particularly tough until you hit the rockslide, which has pretty loose footing. That part is short, and then you're treated to the view. We continued on to the much less impressive So. Branch mountain.
