Birkett Fell is the end peak on a long spur of high ground from The Dodds group of hills. We did a circular walk from High Row, taking in Randerside; Great Dodd at 2807ft, the highest of the group of hills; Watson's Dodd; Stybarrow Dodd and Hart Side. Birkett Fell was the last point at high level, before we dropped steeply into the valley at Dowthwaite Head. Sunny weather, good views and easy walking.
