From the quarry car park near the high point on the B 6260. Followed a wall up and onto the summit of Beacon Hill. Then took a bridleway down over stiles south-east and up to the trig point on Knott. Scaled a wall to continue to the true summit. Then returned to the bridleway, taking it to Scar Side, following the C2C trail back up to the car. Solo. Sunshine and cloud, with a cold north-westerly. Hare, rabbit, wheatear, and a Painted Lady butterfly on the summit of Knott.
