Parked in a small parking area at 36.20141N; 27.82152E on a lovely pinewood plateau, just before the tarmac ended. Took the grit road, partially concreted higher up, which wound up to a broad col at 975m, on which sits the windfarm control station. From there (36.19703N; 27.84650E) at a barrier (in up position), the road continues NNW, now tarmac again, around a minor top (Pt. 1074m), dropping 40m to a col before the final climb up to the summit area on the road encircling the peak. Trig point summit lies beyond the fence of the radar station, and is accessible. The ruins of the temple of Zeus lie just south of the summit. Returned by outward route. NOTE: the route can be driven, but the grit road part is not in good condition, and a 4WD vehicle with good road clearance is recommended. The standard small hire car might have difficulty making it up the grit section. With ALT Fine weather; some clod later. Strong NW wind.
