My brother and I parked about half a mile up the northern entrance of Forest Rd. 584, east of the peak. We hiked about 1.7 miles on the road, then made our way up the eastern slopes to the summit. There were a few sections of thick vegetation, but otherwise it was just a steady climb up to the summit. The views were great, despite the haze on the horizon.
