From the (free) car park near the New Inn, Charlestown. Took the waterfall trail up Flowerdale, but kept to the main track left where the trail heads right up to the waterfall. Continued on the new wide track (not shown on map) steeply up the south-east flank of Meall Fuaraidh and down to Loch Airigh a'Phuill. Crossed the burn just below the main dam and followed a faint path up a wide boggy gully onto the west shoulder of An Groban. From there a good path winds up various gullies and ledges, without exposure or difficulty, all the way to the trig point. Also visited two other nearby rock outcrops near a tiny lochan that may have been as high as the trig point. Fine views indeed from the summit. Returned by my outward route. Cold east wind, veering south-west later. Sunny. Solo. 2.5 hours.
