Took the train to Yoshino, then the ropeway to the "trailhead" as it were. Quite a nice stroll through shops and restaurants, visits to Yoshimizu Shrine and Kinpusenji Temple, then powered up towards the highest point using trails and some pretty old-looking stairs. Not really a "summit" here, but a large monument near a Buddhist cemetery serves as the top of the mountain.
