Family outing. A better route is to follow a maintained trail on the SW side all the way to the ACC Guy hut, then short ridge walk to the summit and scree down to the same trail. While a bit longer but definitely faster and eliminates route-finding and boulder-hopping which is in abundance on the NE side.
